A Good Life
In 2011 I took part in "A Good Life" devised by artists Derek Tyman and Emma Rushton. They recreated the 19th century cabin of Henry Thoreau in Mitterdale Forest in Eskdale. Artists were invited to spend 3 nights in the cabin which was equipped as it was when Thoreau spent 2 years living in solitude and reflecting on independence, self reliance and spiritual discovery.
I spent the time sewing, making, walking, watching and feeding the fire.
